Rice, the cereal that feeds the world.

The global population is forecast to grow to 9.3 billion by 2050 and as a consequence, the need for food will also rise. Global production of 735 million metric tons of paddy rice translates into about 478 million metric tons of milled rice ready for consumption, out of which only 39 million metric tons are traded on private basis. The rest is either consumed locally or traded between governments.

Trammo’s global network spanning six continents not only gives us in-depth knowledge of the rice market, but also allows us to maintain close relations with our business partners and provide them with first-class service and quality control from supplier to customer. The in-house chartering and operations departments are a valuable tool when it comes to finding the best and most competitive freight and shipping solutions, whether for shipments in bags, bulk, railcar, trucks, barges, containers, conventional vessels, or a combination thereof.

We source rice from the main growing areas in Asia but also from the United States, South America and Europe. Trammo’s rice portfolio includes paddy rice, brown rice, parboiled rice, white rice (long-, medium-, or short-grain), broken rice (either white or parboiled), glutinous rice, aromatic rice, and perfumed rice. Our warehouses across the world and global infrastructure also provide efficient and economical logistical capabilities for our business partners.

We are members of the US Rice Producers Association and GAFTA.
